CIVC provides growth and buyout capital to middle-market companies engaged in business services, financial services, and media and communications. It provides support for growth capital, acquisition capital, management buyouts, leveraged acquisitions, recapitalizations, ownership restructuring of family controlled businesses, “going private” transactions, and shareholder liquidity events. It invests from a $650 million middle-market buyout fund. Each investment ranges form $15 million to $75 million in equity.

It prefers to be the lead sponsor in its investments. The firm seeks majority ownership or minority ownership with significant stakes. Targeted companies are typically $40+ million in revenues, and have demonstrated 10+% annual growth.
